The Oklahoma City Bomb
Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols built a 5 000 pound bomb. On April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh drove a rented moving van to the front of Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and parked it. At 9:02 A.M., as the building was filling with people, the bomb exploded. It tore apart the building, and killed 168 people. As soon as the dust setttled, a massive rescue effort began. At the same time, bomb investagors started to collect evidence. It soon became clear that the bomb was made out of readily available commercial material, including racing fuel and ammonium nitrate, a common fertilizer.
John F. Kennedy
In November of 1963, President Kennedy decided to visit Dallas, Texas. When he announced his decision, the SS had some concerns about security. He would travel from Love Field Airport in a motorcade through downtown Dallas to give a speech.
Then, shortly after noon, he was shot. He was shot at for an estimated 6-9 seconds. The Warren Commission concluded that one 1 of 3 shots missed the limo. The second bullet went through Kennedy and hit Connally, and the third bullet hit Kennedy in the head.
Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for the shooting. His 6th floor snipers nest in the Texas School Book Depository was found, and investagors proved that the shot came from the right rear.
